Sprained Wrist

A sprained wrist is a common injury, usually caused by a fall or sudden twist. The injuries can vary from mild, causing brief pain, to major injury resulting in damage to a ligament, or even a broken bone. Early diagnosis of the problem is the key to treatment and very often x-rays or other tests are needed. Treatment can include splints, therapy, and surgery, including arthroscopic wrist surgery.
